Well, it's confirmed, Baby Bean is a GIRL!!!!!!  I had my ultrasound yesterday.  I was there to have a "cervix length check."  But, they also did a quick scan of the baby.  I asked the tech while she was poking around could she tell the gender.  She asked what my sons thought the baby is.  She said young siblings are correct in their guesses more than 90% of the time.  I told her that the boys both think the baby is a girl and I had taken an at home test that gave results also.  She had never heard of the Intelligender test and was as excited as I was to see if it was true.

Luckily the baby was in a great position for gender spotting.  I asked if she was at least 90% sure and the tech said she was 100% positive it's a girl!! I was so excited! I was crying like a loon.  I left that appointment and went straight to Babies R US and bought dresses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And as a side note, my cervix is great! The doc that checked it said the length is perfect and she thinks it only shortened in my last pregnancy because it was twins.  I hope she is right!!! They will continue monitoring it each week until I get to 24 weeks, so we will see! Cautiously optimistic for an uneventful pregnancy!!

  1. Oh my gosh, I'm gonna cry for you, too! Congratulations! You're having a girl!!! Does this mean you're done now that you're getting your baby girl? ;-)

  2. Thanks!! yes, we will be done after this baby, We were going to be done even if it had been a boy. I think 3 is about what we can handle in our family at this point, LOL. So in that regard I am excited to get my baby girl to complete our little crew!!!

  3. Oh congratulations. So so exciting!

  4. Congratulations, Mama! My twin boys were my last two children. My first two (not twins) are boys, too. So, four boys.

I had always wanted a little girl, though. My husband tried to talk his way out of a vasectomy by saying, "I know how much you want a little girl. Are you sure you want me to go through with this?" LOL

I just told him, "Knowing my luck, we'd try for a girl, and it would turn out to be quadruplets . . . and all BOYS!" ;o)

I guess I'm just destined to be surrounded by testosterone. lol

Congrats again. I'd be out buying pink, if I were you, too. ;o)

  5. So I am late on this but CONGRATS!! That is very exciting. I am glad the cervix looks great too! All good news!

  6. Congrats! I love my son dearly but when I found out I was going to have a boy I had a moment of utter panic: "I don't know what to do with a boy!". We are planning on more, and I'm hoping we'll get a girl eventually! Have fun picking out clothes for her!
